This journey has been anything but ordinary. In 2015 I had a profound spiritual awakening rooted in gratitude and authenticity. I became grateful for everything including the hard times and lessons learned which led me to become more of my authentic self, leaving behind the General Manager my company expected me to be.
After four decades in the hospitality industry as an Operations Manager, General Manager, and District Manager, this profound spiritual awakening transformed how I led and lived. At the time I incorrectly thought I needed to leave the hospitality industry, but what began to emerge was that as I changed, so did the environments around me. Toxic cultures became collaborative and stress gave way to connection. That’s when I realized something simple but powerful; When the leader heals, the environment heals.
